PENWORKS 2020

This year’s conference theme (selected last July – how prescient) is “MISSION POSSIBLE: Positive Change in Challenging Times.”  Now – more than ever – our community needs to come together, share, learn, and celebrate excellence.  Leaders, professionals, organizations, and communities in our network also need a support system – not only a network, but useful content – insights, tools, methods, tips – to guide themselves and their organizations through what could be a challenging year or two.

• It will be reduced to a one-day event, rather than two.
• It will be hosted at the same location (Mystic Lake Conference Center in Prior Lake, MN), but…
• We will offer a fully virtual option for those who cannot (or chose not to) attend in person – an interactive, live-stream video of all proceedings.
• Each session (keynotes and breakouts) will also be recorded and shared with all registered attendees – those attending in person or by live-stream – so you have a recorded video-on-demand for later.
• The content will be modified slightly from our original program, adding sessions that focus on relevant topics given our current situation. We are working on reprogramming now, so don’t yet have final topics, but expect some such as crisis management, leading through change, personal and professional resiliency and stress management, managing a virtual workforce, contingency planning, and so forth).  If you have ideas for relevant topics – or specific organizations or speakers we should invite – please email me directly.
• We are reducing prices to reflect a somewhat smaller conference (but also increasing the value by offering copies of the on-demand video and – for those participating virtually only – eliminating any travel or commuting costs!). For those who already registered, you will receive information separately on how to handle your over-payment.
